What to Expect During Your Author Visit

Each group session is 30-45 minutes in length and great for both primary and upper elementary grade levels. A typical presentation will consist of a read aloud of the book, an interactive prediction activity, giveaways, and a Question & Answer period for students and teachers. Group sizes should not exceed 100 students per session (approximately 4-5 class sizes). Below are Presentation Packages for a standard school visit.

Presentation Package Pricing

Day Visit (A):

The author will conduct group sessions throughout the school day for a period of time not to exceed 5 hours. This rate includes the standard cost for the author’s time and appearance as well as a materials fee which includes 24 age-appropriate giveaways to be distributed between the different grade levels or groups during the interactive presentation. Prizes may include signed paperback copies of the book, coloring books, t-shirts, signed posters and more.

Day Visit (B):

The author will conduct group sessions throughout the school day for a period of time not to exceed 5 hours. This rate includes the standard cost for the author’s time and appearance as well as a materials fee which includes 18 age-appropriate giveaways to be distributed between the different grade levels or groups during the interactive presentation. Prizes may include signed paperback copies of the book, coloring books, t-shirts, signed posters and more.

Day Visit (C):

The author will conduct group sessions throughout the school day for a period of time not to exceed 5 hours. This rate includes the standard cost for the author’s time and appearance as well as a materials fee which includes 12 age-appropriate giveaways to be distributed between the different grade levels or groups during the interactive presentation. Prizes may include signed paperback copies of the book, coloring books, t-shirts, signed posters and more.

Half Day Visit (D):

The author will visit with multiple groups or classrooms for a period of time not to exceed 3 hours. This rate includes the standard cost for the author’s time and appearance as well as materials fee which includes 8 age-appropriate giveaways to be distributed between the different grade levels or groups during the interactive presentation. Prizes may include signed paperback copies of the book, coloring books, t-shirts, signed posters and more.

Family Reading Night (FN)

The author will participate in Family Reading Night as the guest reader. Students and parents may interact with the author and will have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Eli’s Balloon at the time of the event. There are no giveaways during Family Reading Night events.
